Welcome to St. Mark’s Child Care Centre where we created a stimulating and safe environment to respond to the needs of our community and those of each individual child. The children will be given the opportunity to develop through play while being curious, capable and competent. We understand that the early years are a crucial time for a child’s development; Our goal is to deliver the same level of care and education that we would want for our own families – a place where children can grow with confidence and develop skills to be ready for kindergarten.

Our Programs
St. Mark’s Child Care Centre is proudly licensed under the Ministry of Education and operates in alignment with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA). We provide care for children between the ages of newborn – 4 years, ensuring a seamless experience for both children and parents. We are proud to participate in the CWELCC program. Effective November 1, 2022, we adjusted our rates to comply with the CWELLC requirements.

Infant Room
9 to 18 months
The focus in our Infant room is on nurturing the physical, emotional, cognitive and social development of the child in a safe and supportive environment. The program provides individualized care routines based on the infants needs including feeding, diapering and nap schedules. The caregivers ensure that infants receive age- appropriate stimulation while fostering a nurturing and comforting atmosphere that supports their growth and bonding.
Toddler Program
18 months to 2.5 years
Children in this stage are eager to explore their independence, the focus in our Toddler room is to provide a nurturing environment where toddlers can explore, learn and develop essential skills. The activities are structured to support growth in areas like motor skills, language development, socialization, and emotional regulation. The program includes interactive play, music, arts and crafts and sensory activities promoting curiosity and creativity.
Jr. Preschool Program
2.5 years - 3.5 years
This program emphasizes learning to support social, and cognitive development. Preschool educators focus on building a positive learning environment encouraging curiosity, exploration and self-confidence. Building on their drive for independence, children in this group are immersed in hands on activities that encourage exploration, creativity and social interaction, all while ensuring a nurturing, secure environment to grow and thrive.
Sr. Preschool Program
3.5 years - 4.5 years
This program is structured to foster early learning and development in a fun, engaging environment. It emphasizes key areas such as cognitive development, socialization, language skills, fine and gross motor skills and emotional growth. The activities in this classroom aim to enhance creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The goal of the Sr. Preschool program is to ensure the children are prepared for the transition into school.

All About Nutrition
Meals are designed by our onsite cook to meet the nutritional needs of growing children, typically following guidelines for portion sizes, balance, and variety. A well-rounded childcare menu includes a mix of protein, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and healthy fats—supporting children’s growth, energy levels, and overall health.
We also take into account any food allergies or special dietary requirements. Mealtimes in our childcare setting emphasize both nutrition and the development of healthy eating habits, such as encouraging self-feeding and fostering a positive relationship with food.
Menus are prepared seasonally and rotate on a 4-week cycle to provide variety and ensure freshness.
